Ronda Ibex
Capra pyrenaica hispanica
The smallest of the four subspecies, with vertical, slightly flattened horns.
The Ronda ibex is the smallest of the four Spanish subspecies; its horns grow vertically and slightly flattened, similar to the Central European ibex. We operate across 8,000 hectares in the Ronda mountains, in a beautiful Andalusian setting with a mild climate, ideal to combine with a cultural escape through Málaga or Granada.

Questions about this hunt
When is the Ronda ibex hunted?
From November to May, flying into Málaga or Madrid. We arrange transfers and lodging from your arrival.
Can it be combined with travel in Andalusia?
Yes. We design parallel programs for companions — dining, culture, golf or the beach around Málaga, Ronda, Granada or Seville — so the whole group enjoys the trip.
What role does the Ronda play in the Grand Slam?
It is one of Spain's four ibex subspecies: no Grand Slam is complete without it. Many hunters pair it with the Sierra Nevada ibex in the same trip.
We design your hunt bespoke. Your outfitter details the proposal privately.
