Gredos Ibex
Capra pyrenaica victoriae
A stalk in the Gredos range, often snow-capped, for its characteristic lyre-shaped horns.
The Gredos ibex (Capra pyrenaica victoriae) stands out for its darker coat and lyre-shaped horns. The Gredos region evokes stunning mountain ranges, often blanketed in snow. We hunt across more than 12,000 hectares less than two hours from Madrid, with areas suited to all levels and, when the terrain demands it, horse support.

Questions about this hunt
When is the Gredos ibex hunted?
From September to April. Gredos is a short drive from Madrid, which makes it easy to combine the hunt with time in the capital.
What does the horse support involve?
In Gredos the stalk can be supported by horses for the approaches, easing the climb and saving your energy for the stalk itself.
Do I need to bring a rifle and licence?
No. We arrange the licence, insurance and top-tier firearm rental; if you prefer your own rifle, we process the temporary import permit.
We design your hunt bespoke. Your outfitter details the proposal privately.
