The Spanish red-legged partridge is one of the most demanding birds there is: fast, low and always with the wind behind it. A well-run ojeo is the classic way to hunt it, and at the same time the shooting day that works best with guests who are not experienced hunters.
How the day runs
A line of eight to ten pegs, a beating team that pushes the birds toward the line, several drives through the morning and a long lunch. It is hunted less than an hour from Madrid, which means the program needs no long transfers and there is good accommodation close by.
Why it works for corporate groups
Because the day is structured: there is time between drives, lunch is part of the program, and the pace leaves room to talk. Unlike a stalk, which is a solitary two-person activity, the ojeo keeps the whole group together all day. That is why it is used for clients and for teams.

- Yes. They can accompany a gun at the peg and join the lunch, which is half the day.

- The good dates in season close months ahead. For a corporate group with a fixed date, the earlier the better.
